Two men have been found dead in a home in Adelaide with police investigating the apparent murder-suicide.

An 88-year-old man's body was discovered at the Glenelg North property after police were called on Tuesday afternoon.

Investigators were unable to establish a cause of death at the time but were called back to the same address in the early hours of Wednesday morning and found another man, 63, dead.

The two men were known to each other and were both living at the home, police said.

Major crime detectives and forensic officers have attended the scene and are treating the incident as a murder-suicide.

Police say the investigation is in its early stages and further work is needed to determine the full circumstances surrounding the deaths.
