Two men who were arrested in connection with alleged robberies that occurred at two fast food outlets in Kildare have been charged.
The pair were arrested on Monday, March 27 in relation to the two alleged robberies that occurred and will now appear before a special sitting of Naas District Court today, Wednesday, March 29.
At approximately 8:30pm on Monday, Gardaí received a report that two men had entered an unnamed fast food outlet on Eyre Street, Newbridge.

According to the Gardaí, the duo then threatened staff members with a knife and demanded cash from them.
However, this was not the end of their crime spree, with both men reportedly attempting another robbery in Newbridge again a short time later on the same day.
Gardaí were alerted to a robbery taking place at a fast food outlet on Charlotte Street, Newbridge. This time, upon arrival, Gardaí were able to arrest the two men, one who was aged in his 40s and the other in his 20s.
Currently, both men are detained under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 at a Garda station in Kildare.
Investigations are currently ongoing.
