Gardai have arrested two men after a massive cash seizure in Swords yesterday.
A 38-year-old and 27-year-old were arrested on suspicion of facilitating an organised crime gang and taken to Coolock Garda station.
The Garda National Drugs & Organised Crime Bureau (GNDOCB) and the Special Crime Task Force stopped two cars in the Holywell area as part of the investigation targeting serious and organised crime.
Over €374,000 in cash was seized during the massive sting which was followed up by further searches in Swords and Clondalkin.
The pair remain in custody with investigations ongoing.
A garda spokesman said: "A substantial amount of cash was recovered and two males, aged 38 and 27 were arrested on suspicion of facilitating/enhancing the ability of an organised crime group to commit a serious offence, contrary to Section 72 of the Criminal Justice Act 2006.
"Both suspects were conveyed to Coolock Garda station, where they remain detained, pursuant to the provisions of Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act 2007.
"Follow up searches were conducted in the Swords and Clondalkin areas."
