Two Manchester United stars 'pulled apart' in training ground 'scrap'

Two senior Manchester United players were involved in an alleged training ground bust-up this week, according to a report from The Sun.

The report in The Sun claims an incident took place towards the end of their training session at Carrington on Thursday, the day United returned to training following a four-day break.

It is suggested the training session was brought to a premature end when the two unnamed senior players got involved in a scrap before having to be pulled apart.

The report also claims that teammates were left 'stunned' by the supposed altercation, with everyone being ordered back to the changing rooms following the incident.

United players had been given four days off following their humiliating defeat to Brighton last week, with the club not involved in another match for 15 days.

Ralf Rangnick will take charge of his final match as United's interim manager a week on Sunday when his side travel to face Crystal Palace on the final day of the Premier League season.

United are assured of either a sixth or seventh-place finish this campaign, meaning they will be taking part in either the Europa League or Conference League next season.
