Two iconic Cork pubs have hit the property market in recent days, with one needing a bit of a makeover but the other in turnkey condition and ready to be taken over as a bar right away.
Dan Sheahan's Bar in Ovens hit the market yesterday, while An Tigin in Schull is also seeking a buyer.
Dan Sheahan's Bar at Knockanemore, Srelane is up for auction. The bar, once known for its lively trad sessions and pub grub, has been sitting empty since before the Covid-19 pandemic and is awaiting a new owner to return it to its former glory.

The two-storey bar sits in a high-profile location on the crossroads at the main N22 road to Killarney, where it once enjoyed plenty of passing business as a popular restaurant and bar.
Cork Beo notes that the premises is being sold without a bar licence, but with the government set to deregulate the pub industry and scrap limits on licences, this particular spot could be a great new venture with the right buyer.
The building comes with an Advised Minimum Value of €225,000 and is expected to be sold at auction in just a couple of months.
Meanwhile, in Schull, An Tigin is also up for sale. The renowned pub is right in the heart of the town and comes with an overhead apartment and a beautiful beer garden.
The West Cork bar and kitchen comes fully kitted out and is currently trading, meaning the new owner can get right to work and open straight away.
No price has been quoted for An Tigin but one would expect it to go for between €300,000 and €400,000, based on values nearby.
