Two killed and several injured in Russian attacks across Ukraine, local media report

At least two people were killed and several injured in Russian attacks across Ukraine, local media reported on Tuesday.  

One civilian was killed and five injured after Russia struck the region of Zaporizhzhia on Monday evening. 

Regional governor Ivan Fedorov said that the attack, "destroyed and damaged residential buildings and social facilities."

The attack also severely impacted local infrastructure, with a local school and church destroyed and dozens of homes damaged. 

In Donetsk, a civilian was killed and another was injured, according to Governor Vadym Filashkin. 

Elsewhere in Ukraine, five people were reportedly injured in Kharkiv by Russian attacks. Several houses and cars were also damaged. 

The Korabelnyi district of Kherson also came under Russian fire. The attack damaged residential buildings but there were no injuries, according to local official, Roman Mrochko. 

Other parts of Ukraine including Dnipro and Sumy also reportedly came under attack.  

Ukraine's General Staff said Russia launched two missiles and 99 airstrikes at Ukrainian units and settlements on Monday. More than 2,000 drones were used for the strikes, they added.
