Two people were injured on a public footpath near Pontypridd Rugby Club following an incident involving a group of youths. One of the injured men had their phone and hat stolen during the encounter which police say involved young people both male and female.
The robbery occurred on Wednesday, September 14, between 8.30pm and 9.15pm. Officers from South Wales Police would like to speak to the female witness who picked the phone up and handed it back to one of the victims.
A spokesperson from the force said: "We are appealing for information following a robbery which occurred near Pontypridd rugby club on Wednesday, 14 September. The incident occurred between 8.30pm and 9.15pm on the public footpath near the ground.
"Two people were injured following the incident which involved a group of youths, male and female. One of the men had his phone and hat stolen. Anybody who may have been in the area at the time, who may have seen the group, is urged to make contact. One female picked the phone up and handed it back to the victim – officers would like to speak to that person."
