It's no secret that Glasgow is a shoppers paradise, with the city regularly voted the UK's best retail experience outside of London.
Yet while most of the bloggers' lines and vlogger chat might focus on the high street retailers and upmarket stores of Buchanan Street, the city is awash with amazing fashion to be found within its plethora - and growing number - of cool vintage and charity shops.
And now its status as a goldmine for pre-loved treasures has been cemented by none other than fashion bible Vogue, with two Glasgow charity shops featuring in a newly published list of Britain’s Best Charity Shops.
The stores in question are Glad Rags Glasgow on Pollokshaws Road at The Glad Cafe in the south side of the city and Shelter on Great Western Road along from Byres Road.
Concerning the latter, Vogue state that a visit to the shop in the west end is a must-do, especially for students in search of those "rare, retro garms" with their even existing the possibility of picking up an item donated by BBC Scotland’s costume department.
While in respect of Glad Rags, the magazine highlights their regular kilo sales "selling some of Glasgow’s finest pre-loved gear", such as ball gowns, dresses and pastel suits.
About being on the list, Ally Scott, Manager of Glad Rags Glasgow, said: "We are thrilled to be recognised by such a prestigious fashion magazine.
