Two further senior Boris Johnson aides have resigned tonight from their roles in No 10.
The resignations of principal private secretary Martin Renyolds and Chief of Staff Dan Rosenfeld come at the end of a torrid day for the Prime Minister.
Earlier, his director of communications Jack Doyle left his role along with policy chief Munira Mirza.
It is unknown if these new resignations are connected.
Mr Reynolds became known in the media as the man who sent the "bring your own booze" email in the Downing Street 'Partygate' scandal in May 2020, reports MirrorOnline.
A No 10 spokesperson said: "Dan Rosenfield offered his resignation to the Prime Minister earlier today, which has been accepted.
“Martin Reynolds also informed the Prime Minister of his intention to stand down from his role as Principal Private Secretary and the Prime Minister has agreed to this.
“He has thanked them both for their significant contribution to government and No 10, including work on the pandemic response and economic recovery.
“They will continue in their roles while successors are appointed, and recruitment for both posts is underway."
A Downing Street source told MirrorOnline: "There’s meant to be an all-staff meeting tomorrow. Assuming there are still any staff."
