Ferdinand joined Leeds from West Ham for a British transfer record fee of £18 million in November 2000. He made 73 appearances for the Whites across all competitions and was named club captain during his second and final season at Elland Road.
However, Ferdinand controversially switched to fierce rivals Manchester United in July 2002, with the defender once again becoming the most expensive British player for £30 million.
He would go onto amass 312 appearances for the Red Devils - winning 14 trophies, including six Premier League titles, and the UEFA Champions League in 2007/08.
Robbie Fowler was labelled as a 'god' by Liverpool fans, but found himself behind Michael Owen and Emile Heskey in the pecking order at Anfield by 2001.
The forward had scored 171 times in 330 appearances for the Reds, and was the club's leading Premier League goal scorer until Mohamed Salah surpassed his record earlier this month.
Fowler made his debut for Leeds in December 2001 and scored 12 goals in 23 games during the remainder of the campaign. An injury ahead of the following season ultimately reduced his impact for the Whites, and he scored twice in just 10 appearances before leaving for Manchester City in February 2003.
He scored 28 goals in 92 appearances for the Citizens before returning to Liverpool for 18 months. After leaving Anfield for a second time in 2007, Fowler rounded off his career with spells at Cardiff City and Blackburn Rovers, before playing in Australia and Thailand.
Full list of Premier League Hall of Fame nominees: Tony Adams, Sol Campbell, Michael Carrick, Petr Cech, Andy Cole, Ashley Cole, Jermain Defoe, Les Ferdinand, Rio Ferdinand, Robbie Fowler, Gary Neville, Michael Owen, John Terry, Yaya Toure, Nemanja Vidic.
