Two people have been rushed to hospital following a multi-vehicle smash on a busy main road near the Edinburgh city bypass.
Emergency services rushed to the A68, near the Millerhill junction of the A720, shortly before 7am on Thursday, March 2, following reports of a two-car collision.
Images from the scene obtained via a traffic camera show one side of the road blocked by the incident with police and two fire engines also present.

Traffic Scotland alerted motorists in the area at the time, saying: "07:12 A68. The A68 is currently restricted in both directions following an earlier road traffic collision. Emergency services are at the scene and controlling traffic.
The smash took place at the Millerhill junction heading onto the A720 city bypass and was cleared around an hour and half later. A spokesperson for the Scottish Ambulance Service confirmed two vehicles were dispatched and two patients were taken to hospital.
They added: "We received a call today to attend a road traffic collision on the A68 in Edinburgh. We dispatched two ambulances to the scene and transported two patients to hospital."
A Police Scotland spokesperson said : "We received a report of a crash involving two vehicles on the A68 which happened around 6.34am on Thursday, 2 March, 2023. Ambulance were contacted."
