Two Dublin players scoop six figure sums in EuroMillions draw

Two Dublin players have won big on Friday's EuroMillions draw with one lucky punter scooping a whopping €500,000 prize.

The National Lottery is urging EuroMillions players in capital to check their tickets this morning after Friday night's EuroMillions saw prize-winning tickets sold in two stores. The biggest win was the Euromillions Plus top prize of €500,000 which was sold at the Trinity College Student Union shop.

The store's owner Patrick Pierce was delighted to have sold the life-changing jackpot. He said: "Just wow! It's absolutely crazy to imagine somebody popping into the shop yesterday and they are now a half million euro richer for it today.

"The shop has been going in the college for 30 years. We of course have a lot of students and college staff members from the campus in our store each and every day.

"In addition, we also have a lot of tourists coming and going all of the time but whoever the winner is, I'm sure that €500,000 will make a huge difference to them and their families. We're absolutely thrilled for them."

Meanwhile another Dublin player is waking up significantly richer after landing €193,667 for matching five numbers and one lucky star in the main EuroMillions draw. The winning Quick Pick ticket was sold at the Circle K Westway service station on the Kylemore Road in Dublin 12.

The winning numbers in Friday's main EuroMillions draw were: 07, 12, 13, 20, 45 and the Lucky Stars were 03, 12.

The winning numbers for last night’s EuroMillions Plus draw were: 13, 28, 34, 38, 41.

There was one winner of the monster EuroMillions jackpot of €128 million. The winning ticket was sold in the UK.

Both Dublin winners are advised to sign the back of their winning tickets and to keep it safe. The ticket holders should make contact with the National Lottery prize claims team on 1800 666 222 or email claims@lottery.ie and arrangements will be made for them to claim their prize.
