Two drug peddlers held in Bengaluru

Alert police on Tuesday arrested two habitual offenders and recovered 21.3 kg of marijuana worth ₹10 lakh from them.

The accused, Bhanuprakash Reddy and Nitin, both aged 22, were allegedly waiting on a scooter for their clients to deliver the narcotic when PSI Prasanna confronted them on suspicion.

The accused confessed to the police that they sourced the drugs from their contacts in Andhra Pradesh and brought it to the city to sell it to their contacts. The accused used a scooter to transport the drugs to avoid undue attention from the police, officials said.

The duo have been booked under the NDPS Act and have been taken into custody to ascertain their network.
