Two drivers were hospitalised following a rush-hour crash in Renfrewshire.
The smash, involving a Smart Plus and a Vauxhall Vectra, took place at around 5.50pm on Wednesday on the A760, where it runs from Lochwinnoch towards Kilbrinie in North Ayrshire. The driver of the Smart Plus, a 19-year-old man, was rushed to Glasgow's Queen Elizabeth University Hospital while the driver of the Vectra was taken to Royal Alexandria Infirmity in Paisley.
Police did not disclose the age or gender of the driver of the Vectra, the nature of their injuries, whether or not they are still in hospital nor their current medical condition.

Officers confirmed that, as of around 8am on Friday, the driver of the Smart Plus was still in hospital. They did not disclose the nature of his injuries or current medical condition.
No other injuries have been reported at this stage. The road was closed for three hours while investigations got underway.
Police probing the crash said the Smart Plus car was a distinctive bright green colour with silver. Witnesses, those with dash-cam footage or anyone with information that could help with their investigation is urged to come forward.
Motorists affected by the disruption caused by the smash were thanked for their patience.
Police Sergeant Chris Hoggans said: “One of the vehicles involved in the collision was a distinctive bright green colour. We are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the crash, or who may have dash-cam footage, and has not yet spoken to or provided this information to officers, to contact us as soon as possible.
“I would like to thank members of the public for their patience while we carried out our investigation into this serious crash. Anyone with information should call Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 2532 of Wednesday, July 5.”
