Two Diamondbacks Hitters Teamed Up For the Most Satisfying HR of the Season

In a certain sense, every home run that Diamondbacks infielder Geraldo Perdomo hits is noteworthy. After all, he’s only had 11 of them in 259 career games. But there was something else that made Perdomo’s homer on Sunday worth paying attention to.

In the fifth inning of Arizona’s game against the Padres, Perdomo took Seth Lugo deep to right for his sixth homer of the season. At 374 feet, it wasn’t the longest homer you’ll ever see, but from one camera angle, it might have been the prettiest.

As Perdomo was in the box, Corbin Carroll was on deck trying to time Lugo’s delivery. When Perdomo swung, so did Carroll—in perfect sync.

How satisfying is that? It’s the kind of video you can watch loop over and over again. Perdomo and Carroll are so perfectly synced up that it looks like two videos edited together.

Carroll apparently didn’t time Lugo’s delivery all too well, though. He struck out swinging when it was his turn to bat.
