Two Cornish tech agencies agree commercial deal

Two Cornish tech agencies have agreed a new commercial deal. Software developer Thought Quarter has acquired all current and future web development and hosting clients from Tanist for an undisclosed sum.

Bodmin-based Tanist said it had decided to streamline its current services to focus solely on IT support services and hardware installation.

Chief executive John Holman said: “The market has changed, and much of it is now dominated by specialist website development and hosting. Thought Quarter are a dynamic team who have those skills in abundance.”

Thought Quarter, who are based in the Fibre Hub in Pool, said the deals added to“significant” growth of its operations it has seen over the past year.

Founder and managing director Sam Armondi, said: “We’re thrilled to have finalised this acquisition and are already having some fantastic conversations with the transferred clients”.

“We have a great relationship with the team at Tanist and will continue to work with them to ensure both their existing and new clients benefit from this transition. We’re excited to help them level-up”.

The firm’s people and culture director, Allanah Armondi said it was “on a journey to employee ownership” and was looking to create jobs as part of “ambitious” plans for further growth.

As well as its head office in Cornwall, Thought Quarter has two sites in London.
