Two-car crash in Glasgow's Crookston leaves pensioner and young man in hospital

A 81-year-old woman and a 20-year-old man have been taken to hospital following a two-car crash on Crookston Road.

Police and paramedics rushed on the scene near Rosshall Academy after receiving a report of a collision at around 10.25am this morning.

One lane of the road remains closed for vehicle recovery and the second lane has reopened.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “At around 10.25am on Monday, May 2, police were called to a report of a two-car crash on Crookston Road in Glasgow.

"A 20-year-old man and 81-year old woman were taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow with minor injuries.

“One lane is currently closed to allow for vehicle recovery. “
