Two teenagers have been charged with the murder of a 17-year-old boy a west London MP said had his “whole life ahead of him”.
The 16-year-olds will appear in court accused of killing Keiron Charles who was fatally stabbed at around 1.10pm in Erconwald Street, Shepherd’s Bush on Saturday.
The youths, from seperate addresses in Brent and Wandsworth, are also charged with possessing a machete and a knife in a public place without lawful authority.
The Metropolitan Police were alerted to a lunchtime street brawl near the junction with Du Cane Road and Old Oak Common Lane.
Officers went with London Ambulance Service and found two teenage boys with stab injuries, Scotland Yard said.
Despite the efforts of paramedics Keiron, from East Acton, died at the scene. His family are being supported, a force spokesman said.
The other teenager, 16, was taken to hospital with stab wounds.
After being discharged, detectives arrested him on suspicion of murder.
A third teenager – also 16 – had left the scene. He was held in the early hours of Sunday.
