Two bed Glasgow penthouse for sale in historic Beresford Hotel with 'amazing' roof terrace

We would be lying if we said that we don't have the occasional scroll on Rightmove and other property websites - even if we're not actively looking to move.

Whether it's a luxury penthouse pad with 360-degree views of the city, a stunning five-bed mansion with an outdoor hot tub or a south side penthouse with a private terrace that was once a Victorian mill, there's a lot to look at in the city.

Whilst Glasgow is evidently not short of a stunning property or two, we're also lucky that some historic buildings have been turned into a place where people can now live.

And this next property is sure to turn some heads with not only it's history, but it's views.

On the market for 'offers over' £240k, the two bed and two bathroom penthouse, one of which is an en-suite, comes with "breathtaking views" thanks to its roof terrace overlooking the city.

Not only are the views and terrace impressive with this alone becoming one of the main selling points, the building also boasts an impressive feature lobby with concierge offices, private access to the internal courtyard and two lifts.

Inside the property itself is an inner hallway with storage, a large corner living space with French doors leading out onto the terrace, a fitted kitchen with a range of appliances, two large bedrooms with robes as well as a master en-suite, plus a large bathroom.

It also boasts a roof terrace. (Rightmove.)

The property is situated on Sauchiehall Street and near the likes of The Garage, Singl-end Garnethill and a short walking distance to Charing Cross train station.

Talking about the property's historic background, Rightmove say: "Set in the crowning glory of Glasgow's 1930's architectural history in possibly the City's most iconic residential building, this is a simply gorgeous apartment. The Beresford is a landmark building which was designed in the Streamline fashion popularised in the developing American cities.

"Originally built 86 years ago when there was a hubbub of visitors to The Empire Exhibition of 1938, in its later residential incarnation this well planned flat is a cut above the standard city market."
