Two people have been arrested after a woman died following a fatal collision on the M25, the Met Police has said.
Officers rushed to the M25 between junctions 24 and 25 near Enfield following a crash involving an HGV, BMW and a black Vauxhall Mokka at around 6.42pm on Thursday.
An occupant of the Vauxhall – a 19-year-old woman – was pronounced dead at the scene.
Another woman travelling in the Vauxhall remains in life-threatening condition at a hospital in east London.
The drivers of both the HGV and BMW were arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving.
They were taken into custody before being released on bail.
Detectives from the Met’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit are investigating.
