Two people have been arrested in connection with the murder of Jacqueline Rutter.
The 53-year-old grandmother was shot in the chest in the doorway of her Meadowbrook Road home, Moreton, at around 1.45am on October 30, in what police described as a "targeted attack." Officers have now arrested two men.
A 52-year-old man and a 44-year-old man have been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to murder in connection with the fatal shooting. They remain in custody for questioning.

Police are still appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or who saw a dark coloured vehicle containing up to three individuals in the Meadowbrook Road area at the time of the shooting to come forward. The car was later found burnt out on Garden Hey Road and detectives are keen to trace its movements both before and after the incident.
A spokesperson for Merseyside police said: "We have arrested a 52-year-old man and a 44-year-old man on suspicion of conspiracy to murder in connection with the fatal shooting of 53-year-old Jacqueline Rutter in Wirral. The two men are currently in custody where they will be questioned by detectives.
"We are continuing to appeal for information in connection with the murder, which occurred at a property in the Meadowbrook Road, Moreton, in the early hours of Sunday 30th October.
