Two people have been arrested after a crash between a car and a bus.
Emergency services rushed to the junction of Dukinfield Road and Newton Street, in Hyde, yesterday afternoon (July 2) following the collision. The junction was closed for several hours while the ambulance and fire service attended and police investigation work was carried out.
A man and woman were taken hospital according to the North West Ambulance Service (NWAS) but none of the injuries were serious, according to Greater Manchester Police (GMP). Two males have since been arrested on suspicion of aggravated vehicle taking. Both were remanded in police custody.

A GMP spokesman said: "At 1.46pm yesterday (1 July 2022), police were called to a report of a collision involving a car and a bus on Newton Street, Hyde.
"Officers attended and the road was closed while emergency services worked at the scene. Two males were arrested on suspicion of aggravated vehicle taking and remain in custody.
"There are believed to be no serious injuries."
A Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) spokesman added: “The collision involved one bus and one car. Two fire engines from Stalybridge and Hyde and a technical response unit from Ashton-under-Lyne quickly attended the scene and trauma technicians assessed two casualties.
“Crews used cutting equipment to rescue one man from the car. Colleagues from North West Ambulance Service treated the man along with one woman who was driving the bus.
“Firefighters were detained for approximately 45 minutes.”
