An 18-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman were arrested for possession with intent to supply.
They both remain in custody for questioning.
GMP said the action formed part of the force’s Neighbourhood Policing Week of Action, which sets out to highlight the work neighbourhood policing officers carry out.
Inspector Steve Bryant, of GMP's Trafford district, said: "Our team are committed to reducing crime and anti-social behaviour in our area and today's action is only a small percentage of the work our officers carry out to keep our community safe.
"Although we have two people in custody for questioning our enquiries will remain ongoing and I would like to extend my thanks to the local community for their support in reporting issues and providing us with information.
“This information is vital in allowing us to tackle the issues that impact you the most.
"I would also encourage anyone with issues or information into criminal activity in your area to get in touch with us as soon as possible."
Anyone with information should contact police on 101 or 999 in an emergency.
Details can also be passed via the GMP website or via the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
