Two ambulances and helimed scrambled to 'incident' in Ayrshire village as police attend

Two ambulances and a helicopter were scrambled to an 'incident' at an Ayrshire village yesterday afternoon.

Police also attended the scene at McNaught Place in Kilmaurs just before 1.30pm.

Mercy crews, including the air ambulance, spent a considerable amount of time at the scene before the helimed left the area and a person was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Glasgow.

A spokesperson for the Scottish Ambulance Service said: "We received a call at 1.29pm to attend an incident at McNaught Place, Kilmaurs on Sunday, October 2.

"We dispatched two ambulances and the helimed, and a patient was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.”
