The condition of the two girls has not yet been confirmed. As police examined the scene, a pile of clothes was pictured in the middle of the road.
Witnesses told the ECHO that a passersby rushed to help the girls and covered them with blankets until paramedics arrived, as another tried to make sure one of the girls remained conscious by keeping her talking and laughing.
