Georgia defensive lineman Travon Walker has been selected as the No. 1 overall pick of the 2022 NFL Draft by the Jacksonville Jaguars.
The Thomaston, Ga., native shot up draft boards after a huge combine performance and now is the first ever UGA defensive player to be taken No. 1 overall.

Travon Walker is the 2nd Georgia player selected No. 1 overall, joining QB Matthew Stafford in 2009. This snaps a four-year run where the No. 1 pick was a QB. Dating back to 2014, the No. 1 overall pick has either been a QB (6 times) or a DE (3 times).
