Zach Wilson has a new team … and a new look.
After three underwhelming seasons with the New York Jets, the quarterback was traded with a seventh-round draft pick to the Denver Broncos this spring in exchange for a sixth-round pick.
Wilson previously wore jersey No. 1 in college at BYU and No. 2 in the pros with New York, but both those numbers were unavailable when he arrived in Denver. Wilson initially picked No. 10, but after the Broncos used a first-round pick to select Bo Nix, Wilson agreed to give the number to his new teammate (Nix wore No. 10 in high school and college).
So Wilson now has a new number (No. 4), and apparently a new hairdo as well. The NFL’s official Twitter/X page shared a photo of Wilson rocking his new uniform (and new hair) earlier this week.
NFL fans were quick to react, with many pointing out that Wilson looks like a character from a Disney series.
Wilson, 24, is entering his fourth season in the NFL. He’s set to report for training camp next month (view the training camp schedule here).
