In typical 2022 Tennessee Titans fashion, they made things much closer than they had to in Week 5, but in the end they found a way to leave Washington with a 3-2 record and sole possession of first place in the AFC South.
It came down to the end where linebacker David Long Jr. ended up being the hero as he made a fantastic play on the goal line by intercepting Carson Wentz in the closing seconds with the Titans clinging to a four-point lead.
As you might imagine, this play (rightfully) caused Titans Twitter to lose its mind. Twitter also jokingly emphasized how excruciating it can be to cheer for Tennessee.
In the end it wasn’t pretty, but the overwhelming consensus is that Titans fans are happy to leave with a victory right before the much-needed bye week.
With all that said, let’s take a closer look at some of the tweets that flooded the Twitter timeline following the Titans’ 21-17 victory over the Commanders.

#Titans need this bye more than any team in the NFL has ever needed a Week 6 bye. Add Dupree, Adeniyi, Davis, Cunningham, Hooker, and maybe Molden to this group and let’s see what it looks like.
