As expected, Shane Burgos and Charles Jourdain put on a war.
The two fan-friendly UFC featherweights had a spectacular fight on the main card of Saturday’s UFC on ABC 3 at UBS Arena in Elmont, N.Y. In the end, Burgos did enough to get his hand raised in a very competitive bout that was ruled a majority decision win for the New York native.
It was a bout in which Burgos developed an early lead by winning the first two rounds in two of the judges’ scorecards, but then had to survive the striking outpouring by Jourdain late in the third.
