It’s been an exhausting process for Jacksonville Jaguars fans as the team’s coaching search has gone on for more than a month. The search seems to have reached another phase as the team recently expressed interest in interviewing Los Angeles Rams coordinator Kevin O’Connell, but that now can’t happen until his team’s season is over.
With that not falling through, the team set up an interview with former Las Vegas Raiders interim Rich Bisaccia, who took over for Jon Gruden this past season after he resigned on Oct. 11. In the process, he was able to aid the Raiders in a push to the playoffs, but despite that, ownership decided to move on and bring in Josh McDaniels, though things aren’t finalized yet.
Needless to say, the decision to interview Bisaccia came with mixed thoughts on Twitter as many are ready to see the process come to an end, and here are a few of them:
The #Jaguars coaching search basically screams of a team with no firm direction and people pulling in all kinds of directions. Crazy that they had such an early head start over everyone else.

Is Trent Baalke the Jaguars' version of Jack Easterby? Many folks are wondering

eventually they'll find someone desperate enough to take the job

The team is forever doomed as long as Baalke is GM. Stop talking yourselves into Bisaccia.

Can’t say I’d feel good going into 2022 with Trent Baalke and Rich Bisaccia. #Jaguars

All anybody wanted was Rich Bisaccia to guide the Jaguars going forward. Season ticket renewals about to go through the roof and new ones like they won’t believe!

We've reached the, "maybe we can still get Bisaccia," stage of the Jaguars coaching search https://t.co/e1olDCsSAF

However, with Bisaccia being well respected, especially when considering what he did for the Raiders, some didn’t slam the Jags for their interest in him, though they still questioned the process.
Big fan of Rich Bissacia by the way. Doesn’t change the fact this coaching search is confounding. He would help change the culture for good. But not being an offensive coach, he’d need to nail the OC. Nothing more important than helping Trevor.

Good for Bisaccia. He deserves a HC job somewhere. https://t.co/C9KY01vmWp

FWIW: Former Raiders interim HC Rich Bisaccia might be missing the wow factor, but players love him and he'd change the culture ruined by Urb.
Apparently Trevor Lawrence would be on board with the hire, too.
Also, Bisaccia is tight with ex-Broncos HC/potential DC Vic Fangio.

I don’t think it’s Bisaccia that fans(including myself) are hating. It’s the entire process, which has been a masterclass of incompetence https://t.co/dU5FI5yh2H
