Twitter reacts to Eagles signing ex-Titans P Brett Kern

Former Tennessee Titans punter Brett Kern has reportedly found a new home, after he signed with the Philadelphia Eagles’ practice squad on Monday.

Kern spent 13 seasons with the Titans, appearing in three Pro Bowls and earning a First-Team All-Pro nod after becoming one of the best at his position in the NFL.

The 36-year-old saw his numbers dip a bit in the last few years but was still effective. He found himself in a competition with rookie Ryan Stonehouse for the Titans’ starting job in training camp but ultimately lost out.

Stonehouse has since emerged as one of the best punters in the league, justifying the Titans’ decision to move on from Kern, which was not easy considering how well-loved he was.

And we saw that first hand in the Twitter reaction, where most Titans fans were happy that Kern will have a shot at a Super Bowl, something he has never won during his great career.

Meanwhile, Eagles fans were hyped at the news, and understandably so, as it isn’t easy to find such a good player this late in the season, but the Eagles managed to do so with signing Kern.

Here’s a look at how Twitter reacted to the news.
