The Kansas City Chiefs escaped their Week 6 tilt against the Denver Broncos with a win, and despite their two-score margin of victory, dominated their divisional rival in all four quarters.
While this may not have been the flashiest victory of the Patrick Mahomes era, Kansas City got the job done against a Broncos team that played with reckless abandon after a short week of rest.
No wins come easy in the NFL, and this gritty triumph by the Chiefs was a good indicator that Kansas City can still compete, even if its offense falters a bit in the process. Success in primetime has become a hallmark of Andy Reid’s tenure with the Chiefs, and this game constituted Kansas City’s 16th straight victory over Denver.
