The Chargers agreed to terms with tight end Will Dissly, the former Seahawk, on Monday.
Here’s how social media reacted to the newest addition:
Joe Hortiz and the Chargers have already addressed two needs at spots critical for their offense.
A good RB and a good blocking TE are just what they needed, and neither breaks the bank. A+ start so far IMO pic.twitter.com/YDRJrz2qgV

The #Chargers aren't done yet.
Will Dissly 3-years, $14m.
His 71.3 OFF Grade last season ranked 15th amongst TE's last year. He's a great blocker, both pass (83.5) and run (77.2). https://t.co/P8CZgErBuB— Ryan DePaul (@RyanDePaul) March 11, 2024
The Chargers fill a giant hole at tight end and almost certainly ends the Gerald Everett era.
Will Dissly is a bigger guy that fits Roman’s system as a better run blocker than Everett. One less starting position that has to be filled. https://t.co/FlCTFbathf

Will Dissly ranked 3rd out of 76 run blocking TEs last season.

Will Dissly tore his patellar tendon 7 minutes into his 4th NFL game, he ruptured his Achilles tendon in game 6 of his second season.
Despite those two major injuries he went on to miss just 5 games over the next 4 seasons of his career, while never going down on first contact.— notable head coach haver (@wrongopinionman) March 6, 2024
Chargers signing Will Dissly is a quality signing. He can block and is a serviceable TE. Adding Gus Edward’s was a good signing too imo if he can stay healthy.

Dissly will be the best Run Blocking TE we’ve had for a while.
He makes occasional splash plays in the receiving game (particularly the red area). And as a released player, signing him will not impact the comp pick formula. The $$$ are reasonable too.
Welcome Will Dissly! https://t.co/i5gYp4w7Ac

Will Dissly although not a sexy signing in my opinion he’s a great Blocking TE. He’s gonna give you very little in the passing game but the organization is putting together a group so that when they run the ball your gonna know it and most of the time you won’t stop it.

Gus Edwards and Will Dissly, hell yes. They're not splash signings but I love what both of these players bring and I can't wait to see how they fit in our new system.

Unfortunate that we will not see Gerald Everett back but welcome to LA Will Dissly⚡️ https://t.co/7Qgh3Ti7LD
