Panto queen Twink has slammed the Dublin she sees today as a "kip" full of fast food chains and coffee shops while lamenting the loss of her "old world charming" city.
The 71-year-old entertainer, whose real name is Adele King, has expressed her frustration with what her home city has turned into in her mind in recent years.
In an interview with The Sun, she wasn't shy about revealing exactly what she thinks of the place.

She said: "I am an old fashioned gal who prefers the charming old world Dublin I grew up in to the plastic, fast-food, coffee shop, multi national, couldn’t give a s***e about you kip it’s turned into."
She added: "Who cares about our tourists having anything with a bit of class remaining in Dublin to shop in?
"Ah sure, turn left down the road to O’Connell Street. Haven’t they all the Kiss Me I'm Oirish emporiums and fast food joints to visit?
"Or you could turn right and shop in "nasty plasty" boutique land Grafton Street with even more fast food kips."
The star's comments come after news of the closure of the Pen Corner on Dublin's College Green, which has been in business since 1927.
She continued: "This saddest of closures is another nail in the Dublin coffin labelled "dead and gone" forever."
The shop is expected to close before the summer.
Loyal customers will still be able to avail of their products as there are plans to move the business online after the shop closes.
It seems that a number of Dubs relate to Twink's disappointment, with people taking to Twitter to express their sadness.
One Twitter user wrote: "Sad to see this place close. Probably the only shop that draws me into the city centre. Last time, I went in with my 8 year old. She wanted to buy a Lamy Safari but none in stock. They gave her a much better pen for free to prevent disappointment!"
Another said: "My dad brought me there to purchase a beautiful fountain pan and ink when I got a college place. Can’t count the number of times I’ve been in. Always brilliant advice and patient customer service. It’s a piece of Dublin."
