The Amazon Review Killer

10pm, Channel 4
“If there’s narcissism, they’re going to post things.” This chilling two-part documentary from the US tells the wild story of Todd Kohlhepp, a serial killer whose Amazon reviews foreshadowed the crimes he committed. It begins with Kala Brown, a woman who had been missing for two months, being found chained inside a container on Kohlhepp’s property – using a chain lock connected to his online review of padlocks. This triggered the unravelling of what had Kohlhepp had been doing online and in real life before then. Hollie Richardson

Scams & Scandals: Captain Tom – What Went Wrong?

7pm, BBC Two
The rise and fall of the Captain Tom Foundation is a story that’s begging to be made into a tragicomic TV drama. In the meantime, this documentary looks at the money-making machine surrounding the lockdown hero Captain Tom Moore and what the Charity Commission made of its governance. Spoiler alert: they weren’t that impressed. Phil Harrison

Jamie’s £1 Wonders & Money-Saving Meals

8pm, Channel 4
It is hard to keep track of Jamie Oliver’s TV output, but this is the second series of the chef’s budget-beating recipes that should cost around a quid per portion. He starts with a vegetable-filled dosa using batch-cooked batter, and fake-away crispy chicken in garlic breadcrumbs, complete with sides of wedges and slaw. HR

Silent Witness

9pm, BBC One

A couple of teenagers romp in a cave but the mood is killed when they realise they are next to a woman’s corpse. In comes Emilia Fox’s Dr Nikki Alexander in her white suit starting off a new run of two-parters of the long-running crime drama. Maggie Steed also joins the cast as the new boss, Harriet Maven. HR

24 Hours in Police Custody: Breakout

9pm, Channel 4
An unusually action-packed episode of the absorbing true-crime documentary series. Instead of interviewing suspects over a nice cup of tea back at the police station, DS Will Wilkinson and his team are out and about in the Bedfordshire countryside, hotly pursuing a group of escapees from Yarl’s Wood detention centre. Sir Alex

10.40pm, BBC One
Hopping back and forth in time livens up what would already be a rousing biography of master football manager Alex Ferguson. Part one features triumphs with Aberdeen and Manchester United, ending with the incredible 1999 Champions League final victory over Bayern Munich – but we also hear memories of Fergie’s youth in Glasgow.
