Lake District Rescue

8pm, Channel 4
From paragliders crashing into mountainsides to scramblers who have fallen down waterfalls – the Lakes may be lovely, but they can also be perilous. This new series follows the Lake District Search and Mountain Rescue Association and some of the people it saves, starting in Eskdale where the Wasdale mountain rescue team are called out to help a man in agony with a dislocated shoulder. Celebrity Gogglebox

Sister Boniface Mysteries

Celebrity I Literally Just Told You

This new series of the gameshow that gives contestants the answers before they get the questions kicks off with a celebrity special in which Chico Slimani, Josie Gibson, Jonathan Ross, Rylan Clark and Oti Mabuse try to win money for charity. It’s basically a vehicle for the slick presentational snark of Jimmy Carr. Phil Harrison

TRNSMT

12.10am, BBC One

Film choice

The Iron Claw (Sean Durkin, 2023), Prime Video
Sean Durkin’s wrestling biopic was initially touted as an Oscar contender and, while that didn’t come to pass, it’s nevertheless a tremendous piece of film-making. Telling the story of the Von Erich family, a clutch of athletic young men struggling to escape their overbearing father, it’s tragic and heart-rending and – if you’re the right age – unbearably nostalgic. Better yet, it’s rammed with top-notch performances. The Bear’s Jeremy Allen White, as Kerry Von Erich, proves he has a long future outside the show, and Zac Efron is a total revelation as his brother Kevin. Honestly, where has he been hiding all these years? Stuart Heritage
