Am I Being Unreasonable?
9.30pm, BBC One
Daisy May Cooper and Selin Hizli’s wonderfully bizarre comedy drama gets murkier and funnier as Nic (Cooper) continues to completely spiral. Yes, she is dealing with the emotional turmoil of trying to get away with murdering her extramarital lover and brother-in-law. But she is also doing marriage therapy, worrying about her cat-killing son, Ollie (the awesome Lenny Rush), and oversharing with her fishy friend Jen (Hizli). And all this comes with cracking gag after cracking gag. Hollie Richardson
Kirstie and Phil’s Love It Or List It
8pm, Channel 4
Steven and Adeola’s family have grown out of their three-bedroom house – to the point of using their en suite bathroom as a walk-in wardrobe. Will a £45,000 budget be enough to make necessary tweaks, or is it time to move on? Kirstie and Phil step in with differing ideas. HR
Amandaland
9pm, BBC One
Amanda (Lucy Punch) gets a job! She is helping to sell kitchens in a showroom – but sees it as more of a “collaboration” with her influencer platform “Senuous” (no, that is not a typo; she is hellbent on creating a new word). Meanwhile, Anne (Philippa Dunne) becomes a maths tutor and it’s Della (Siobhán McSweeney)’s birthday. HR
Murder Case: The Hunt for Mary McLaughlin’s Killer
9pm, BBC Two
Could DNA advances help to solve a 1984 case in which a Glasgow woman was found strangled by her dressing-gown cord, after being seen walking home from a pub followed by a man? This documentary covers the renewed hunt for the killer and delves into the original case files, looking at the teams of investigators now and in the 80s. Alexi Duggins
Grantchester
9pm, ITV1
Rev Alphy Kotteram has been naughty. He has enjoyed a night of passion with a student who has promptly disappeared. Worse still, one of her colleagues has been found dead. This slice of Cambridgeshire cosy crime is more scandalous than usual, but, nine seasons in, we can rest assured that all will be well – eventually. Phil Harrison
George Clarke’s Building Home
9pm, Channel 4
After 14 years abroad, Kazal and Eleena have returned to the West Midlands to overhaul a knackered house in Solihull. George Clarke is impressed with their vision of a spacious home ideal for hosting family gatherings. But is it wise for them to live on-site during such a disruptive rebuild? Graeme Virtue
Film choice
Rob Peace (Chiwetel Ejiofor, 2024), Paramount+
Written, directed by and co-starring Chiwetel Ejiofor, this “based on a true story” drama undoubtedly qualifies as a labour of love. It traces the youth and young adulthood of an academically gifted New Jersey kid, Rob (a charismatic turn from Tulsa King’s Jay Will), whose father (Ejiofor) has been wrongly jailed for murder. It’s a film about potential realised and wasted and is tragic but inspirational. Rob adopts various personae – Yale student, property developer, teacher, even Walter-White-style drug chemist – all while pursuing his dad’s legal case. Simon Wardell
