Mariah Meets Rylan
10.15pm, BBC Two
An excited Rylan Clark hits LA to hang out with “the undeniable queen of Christmas”, Mariah Carey. She isn’t always the most forthcoming interviewee and occasionally seems cheerfully baffled by Rylan’s British cultural references – he calls her “babe” and brings her an airport Toblerone as a gift. Still, Rylan is one of TV’s great chatterboxes and he soon teases out some good tales, not least about her apparently “dark but wacky” unreleased album. Phil Harrison
