Best TV shows on TV tonight
Wolf, 9 pm, BBC One
We’ve had to watch some of this twisty thriller through our fingers, but it has been a treat, and in the penultimate episode, there are questions still to be answered. Psychotic Honey (Sacha Dhawan) is suspicious that someone is playing with him and Molina (Iwan Rheon), and the dastardly duo try to bring their murky task to a conclusion.
Meanwhile, the mysterious jewellery, the ‘Donkey Pitch’ murders and his brother’s disappearance are still haunting cop Jack (Ukweli Roach), but a new lead brings him into contact with a cult. Concludes tomorrow.

Alison and Larry: Billericay to Barry, 8 pm, GOLD
Gavin & Stacey’s Pam and Mick, sublimely played by Alison Steadman and Larry Lamb, are one of sitcom-land’s greatest couples. Now, in this charming travelogue, friends Alison and Larry drive from Essex to the Vale of Glamorgan, taking in some of their favourite sites. They start by planting a tree in Billericay, riding an electric bike through Epping Forest with Gavin & Stacey co-star Russell Tovey, meeting birds of prey, boating on the River Thames and having a facial.
But the real delight comes from watching them chat about their incredible lives and careers – and having a sing-song! – as they motor along the highways and byways.

Earth, 9 pm, BBC Two
In the last episode of his hard-hitting series, Chris Packham explains how the destruction of the dinosaurs 66 million years ago gave rise to the reign of mammals, eventually leading to the creation of humankind. We see how we evolved from primates and how we came to rule the planet.
Chris also shows how our growing population created a need for agriculture and how this, in turn, has led to climate change and the issues we face now. However, Chris is hopeful that humanity will be the ones to save the planet from the imminent disaster it has created.
