Mary Makes Christmas

8pm, BBC One
She turns 90 next year, but the star baker Mary Berry is still at it with the help (or hindrance) of some celebrity friends. Oti Mabuse, Nick Grimshaw (pictured) and Amanda Holden join in as she makes almond snowballs for the cold-water swimmers and stocking-filler boozy apricots and ginger flapjacks for the annual Christmas carols celebration in aid of the search-and-rescue charity the RNLI. Expect to lust after turkey pasties and clementine creme brulee, too. Hollie Richardson

The Good Ship Murder: Christmas Special

9pm, Channel 5
Gently ridiculous seafaring sleuthing, as Shayne Ward’s singing detective, Jack Grayling, tackles the case of an impaled Santa Claus during the cruise ship’s stop in a very Christmassy Dubrovnik. The passenger manifest is crawling with disgruntled, potentially vengeful travellers. Jack Seale

My Brilliant Friend

9pm, Sky Atlantic

In the final double bill of this beautiful Elena Ferrante adaptation, the Solara family search for a missing child. Then comes the flawless finale, with a look at Elsa’s fate and the two women coming full circle as they glimpse a reminder of the early days of their friendship. Hannah Verdier

Inside M&S at Christmas

9pm, ITV1
Experimental Christmas sandwiches? This year, Marks & Spencer has them. But how did it happen? This documentary goes behind the scenes at the high-street giant to explore the run-up to Christmas. There is the opening of a new store, a snowing chocolate box and plenty of culinary research and development. Phil Harrison

The Dog House at Christmas

9pm, Channel 4
Wondering whether a show in which abandoned dogs are rehomed could become any cuter? It very much can. Gigi the labrador meets the Griffiths family (including dad Dave, who is probably going to take some persuading), while Lady the spaniel needs to overcome shyness. PH

Stacey Solomon’s Crafty Christmas

9pm, BBC One

Festive hacks and money savers galore from the ever helpful and engaging presenter. In this festive special, Solomon will be creating a winter wonderland in her grandma Gwen’s residential home – to give the residents a taste of Christmas, and viewers a few ideas about how to elevate their own small‑ish spaces.
