Lenny Henry has been hosting Comic Relief for nearly 40 years, and as he hands the comedy baton over to new stars, Alex Jones hosts a retrospective. Another absurd but totally genius look at the world through the anxious New Yorker’s eyes. Only Wilson can take an episode that ostensibly focuses on how people work out to a cat show where a cat photographer takes his “before and after” photos. Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour (Taylor’s Version) (Sam Wrench, 2023), Disney+
On its theatrical release last year, this quickly became the bestselling concert film of all time (knocking Bieber into second place), and gave a much-needed boost to cinemas. But in a career as phenomenally successful as Swift’s, that’s par for the course. This streaming release adds five bonus songs from her 2023 concerts in California, and captures all the sparkle and splendour of the show – from intimate closeup to widescreen pizzazz – with multiple costume changes, a wealth of visual effects, slick choreography and, of course, plenty of the engaging Tay Tay.
