It starts in Jaipur, with staff preparing for the social event of the year, a lavish dinner for a maharaja. Sadly, incontinent elephants threaten to spoil the show. PH

As Du Beke and Pernice stroll through the crowds of Benidorm to the soundtrack of the Macarena, it looks like a missed opportunity to go beyond the obvious hotspots. “They feel like reality stars we made in a lab.” Nick Grimshaw’s assessment of the vain, banal cast assembled for a gameshow called The Favourite is fair. But there’s a twist: Josh is a token nerd – and the only way anyone can bag a share of the £10k prize is if Josh wins. Along with Grimshaw, three other reality veterans will be trying to rig the game. Excruciating. PH
