“To inflict this level of trauma on herself … Why?” This is the question at the heart of this difficult three-part documentary (which runs throughout the week) about then 18-year-old Ellie Williams from Barrow-in-Furness, who in 2023 was found guilty of making false accusations of trafficking and rape. The film uses recorded footage and speaks to individuals about the series of events that happened, as well as the wider Asian community who are living with the repercussions. HR
