Justice: Those Who Kill

9pm, BBC Four

It’s that “cosy night in with a Danish crime thriller” time of the year again, so here’s an opening double bill to a fourth new story in the brooding and tense Those Who Kill series. Louise Bergstein (Natalie Madueño) is back, now teaching criminal profiling. But when a man is released from prison and shot dead while meeting his old gang, she is pulled in to take on the case – and gets into the nitty-gritty straight away. Hollie Richardson

Strictly Come Dancing

6.25pm, BBC One

Paul and Karen are the fourth couple out of the competition, which means they’ll miss out on Halloween week. Dances will include Sam and Nikita’s jive to Time Warp, Chris and Dianne’s samba to Stayin’ Alive and Jamie and Michelle’s American Smooth to The Addams Family theme. HR

The Voice UK Final

8.10pm, ITV1

The coaches have whittled down their semi-finalists to one apiece: Canadian singer-songwriter Storry (Team will.i.am), gospel vocalist Deb Orah (Team LeAnn), Swindon twins Billy and Louie (Team Tom) and soulful-voiced Bristolian Ava (Team McFly). Who will bag a record deal, £50k and a trip to Universal Studios Florida? Nicole Vassell

Apples Never Fall

9.10pm, BBC One

The well-heeled drama about a Palm Beach tennis dynasty struggling to cope with a missing matriarch reaches its penultimate episode. With circumstantial evidence of foul play piling up against tetchy dad Stan (Sam Neill), the cops are getting hostile. Will his four grownup kids stand by him? Graeme Virtue

Ottoman Empire By Train With Alice Roberts

Prof Alice Roberts is back exploring history via train, and this time she’s focusing on the Ottoman empire across Turkey and surrounding areas. Her adventure starts in Adana, near Syria, where she explores a historic mosque and does the vital work of discovering where delicious Turkish delight originates from. HR

Later … With Jools Holland

10.20pm, BBC Two

Fresh from an incendiary summer double bill with fellow 90s icons Suede, enduring Welsh rabble-rousers Manic Street Preachers are Jools’s main draw this week, showcasing songs from their 15th album, Critical Thinking. Other guests include pioneering Brit-funkers Cymande (unbelievably, making their first ever UK TV appearance). Phil Harrison

Film choice

Moonage Daydream, 10.10pm, Channel 4

Brett Morgen’s trippy documentary about David Bowie eschews the musical nuts and bolts for a kaleidoscopic sweep through the performer’s life and personal philosophy, all told in his own voice. Brilliantly edited from a vast array of footage (interviews, gigs, films, photos, art, animation), it begins with Ziggy Stardust then traces his continual reinventions down the years. It’s far from comprehensive – there’s no Angie Bowie or Tin Machine, and little prior to Ziggy – but it nails the shape-shifting quality of a musician always ahead of the curve. Simon Wardell
