Anton Du Beke joins her in Bournemouth this week, and the only thing he claims to have cooked before is eggs. This week’s utterly bleak case: in 2014, Eric Locke created a fake Facebook profile to lure his ex-girlfriend to a hotel in Tallaght, where he then murdered the mother of one. “People don’t flirt with Craig; he got those trousers from the middle aisle of Lidl.” In the first of this week’s double bill of the Hull-set comedy, Toni becomes suspicious of her spouse’s new friendship with neighbour Shar (the excellent Amy Gledhill), while also dealing with the landlord trying to sell their house. Elsewhere, Paula and Dave are stuck in a sexual standoff. HR

With flashbacks using puppets and even a full-blown musical number, season five of Joseph Gilgun’s scallywag sitcom has been a blast. In the action-packed finale, Vinnie and the gang try to get one over on the slippery drug lord Manolito by stealing some risque paintings by famous local dauber Lowry.
