TV presenter caught singing Anthony Elanga's Manchester United chant with cameras rolling

A Sky Racing presenter was caught singing the increasingly-popular Anthony Elanga chant — while TV cameras were still turned on.

Manchester United fans have come up with a terrace song for the youngster to the tune of ‘Rhythm Is A Dancer’ by early-90s German Eurodance act ‘Snap!’. Elanga has enjoyed a breakthrough season in the first team at United, netting twice in the Premier League and once in the Champions League.

His chant has been circulating on social media videos and didn’t escape the attention of racing pundit and commentator Tony Ennis. On Tuesday, a clip of him singing the song off-air was broadcast by Sky Sports Racing, which was caught by one social media user.

Elanga now has four senior goals to his game, adding strikes against Brentford, Leeds and Atletico Madrid in the Champions League to his maiden first team strike at Wolves last season. The 19-year-old Sweden Under-21 international has played in each of the club’s last nine Premier League games, having lost just one of those.

Elanga spent the first half of the season with United’s under-23s and scored four goals in eight Premier League 2 matches, also adding two assists. He scored in the UEFA Youth League too, with Ralf Rangnick rewarding that form with a senior call up.

There is now a palpable buzz around the young talent, who has been a shining light in a drab season for the Old Trafford outfit.
