TV Azteca Host Suffers Heart Attack Before Appearing in Morning Show

Morning television tends to be a sedated affair fit for family audiences during the first hours of the day, but not on Monday in Mexico. Ricardo Casares, a prominent host on TV Azteca's popular morning show "Venga la Alegría," suffered a heart attack moments before going on air.

43-year old Casares, known for his charismatic presence and engaging hosting style, experienced discomfort while in the makeup area, prompting immediate medical attention. The swift response from the show's medical team was crucial in stabilizing his condition. He was rushed to a hospital, where he remains under observation. The incident was reported to viewers, who have been expressing their concern and well-wishes for the host's speedy recovery.

Ricardo Casares is not just a familiar face on "Venga la Alegría," but a staple on Mexican television. His career spans several years at TV Azteca, including notable appearances on other network shows like the entertainment program "Ventaneando" and hosting Azteca 7's coverage of the Oscars.

His brief yet memorable stint in the reality TV show "La Isla" in 2012 further bolstered his popularity among Mexican TV audiences.

How is Ricardo Casares?

As of now, detailed information about Casares's current health status remains limited. However, reports indicate that he is out of danger. He remains in the hospital recovering, surrounded by family members.

TV Azteca host Patricio Borghetti revealed to the Mexican press that he was the one who noticed that Casares was in distress and took him to the hospital. "I was coming on my normal schedule, and I saw him leaving the studio by himself. I thought he had tripped because he was grabbing his chest and sat down there, on that little bench over there," Borghetti remembered. "He was complaining, I said, '-What happened?', he said, '-My chest hurts, but it's strange, it burns and hurts my hand'."

"I called the ambulance and when I was passing the information, I said, '-You know what, I'd better take you to the hospital... It was a blessing that he was here and that I was passing by. He is my brother," Borghetti said with a cracked voice. "It wasn't easy... We love you, Ricky; we are waiting for you here soon, Get well, relax, and don't watch soccer, Now just stay calm, and we will be waiting for you here when you come back. We love you."

The incident has highlighted the intense pressures faced by television personalities and the importance of health awareness in high-stress environments.

The team at "Venga la Alegría" continued with the show's transmission, demonstrating professionalism amid challenging circumstances. They, along with Casares's fans and colleagues in the industry, are eagerly awaiting more updates and hoping for his full and rapid recovery.
