A funfair will be taking place at a North Shields shopping outlet during the upcoming February half-term with rides on offer for a special price to help cash-strapped families during the cost of living crisis.
The well-known Turners Funfairs will be bringing a host of rides to Royal Quays from February 18-26 and all will be priced at just £2. There also will be free entry to the fair, in a bid to make it as affordable as possible and more accessible for families.
During its nine-day run, the funfair will be open from 11am until 6pm. Families can expect the likes of waltzers, a ghost train, twister and jumping frogs as well as popular rides Tagada and The Experience Miami.

Other attractions will include a family rollercoaster, bungee trampolines and hook-a-duck stalls. There will be security and a no-alcohol policy.
The Royal Quays hosts say they are planning several other events at the North Shields outlet in Coble Dene over the coming year. Turners Funfairs, a local specialist with more than 200 years' fairground experience, has been inviting people on its Facebook page to share and like its post about the Royal Quays event to be in with a chance to win free ride tickets, with 10 up for grabs.
The closest Metro stops to reach the fair are at Meadowell and Percy Main.
