Bargain beer hunters should make Turkey their next holiday destination.
A study has found the land of kebabs and carpets is the cheapest place in Europe to enjoy a pint this summer.
A pint of lager is just £1.48, thanks to the pound soaring against the lira.
A quid could be exchanged for only seven lira in 2019 but now gets over 20.
The average price of a pint in Britain is £4.10 nationwide and well past £5 in the South. But pints are dearest in Scandinavia, with Norway top at £8.
Holiday provider On the Beach looked into the best value breaks for booze.
The firm’s Zoe Harris said: “The cost of living in Turkey is incredibly low compared to the UK and with the pound becoming increasingly strong against the Turkish Lira it’s now one of most affordable holidays”.
Turkey’s popularity is soaring – around 2.5 million Brits jet there each year, with the resorts of Antalya, Dalaman, Izmir and Bodrum the most popular.
Hotel beds can be as little as £9 a night and a meal out at a basic restaurant can cost a pound, with a three-course meal in a mid-range restaurant setting you back £3 to £5.
