Tulisa 'overwhelmed' as she addresses I'm A Celebrity no show and wiping Instagram

Tulisa Contostavlos has set the record straight after snubbing a TV interview and then wiping her Instagram account of any mention of her time on I’m A Celebrity after she became the third campmate to be sent home.

The N-Dubz singer, 36, was a no-show on spin-off show I’m A Celebrity Unpacked and then concerned fans further with her drastic social media move.

It came after she took aim at some of her campmates, calling them “fake” during an appearance on ITV’s Lorraine on Tuesday morning.

Now, in an emotional video shared on Instagram on Wednesday, the Playing With Fire hitmaker has admitted that her actions are the result of feeling “overwhelmed” by the attention she has received since coming out of the jungle. She has now decided to take some time out to prioritise her well-beling.

Speaking in the clip, she said: "Hey guys, I'm just doing a little video to clear a few things up. When I first came out of the jungle, I felt fine first of all and then that evening, my friends went to bed and I was on my Instagram, just trying to have a casual scroll at some funny stuff.

"I was getting a lot of attention, a lot of bombarding - in all the most positive way, but because it's been a bit of a while for me, I can get overwhelmed quite easily and I just started to feel a little bit overwhelmed. And I was like, do you know what? I need to just take a little bit of time for me and just chill. This is all just feeling a bit much at the moment.

"I've archived all my stuff to do with the jungle and then, when the time is right and I've had time to process, I'm going to make my own reels of my best bits that I really like. Because remember, I haven't been doing my own stuff. The way it's being posted and all the random stuff is not how I would be doing stuff."

She continued to say: "It's ok to feel a bit overwhelmed, I've been out of the spotlight for a long time and I'm still trying to over come those things. You know, I've still got my little demons. Doesn't mean I'm going to go and hide under a rock for another 10 years. It just means I need a little bit of time to just process and you know, get right with my thoughts."

"Thank you to ITV and I'm A Celeb for being really understanding and patient with me and you know, mental health is important and I am super grateful for all the love and support I've had. I just get overwhelmed, I'm a bit of an introvert. I've been in a jungle with people I'd only just met for two and half weeks and then I've come out and I've seen loads of attention and I'm like 'woah this is a lot.' And I just need a little bit of a breather."

She further went on to clarify her comments on Lorraine about “fake” campmates, saying: "Also, I just want to clarify I do not think any of my campmates are fake.

"I was having a conversation on Lorraine and what I was trying to say was, typical me just thinking out loud. Everyone in there is going to have one or two individuals that they are way more close with than others. And that when we get out, is when you are really going to see those friendships get nurtured and really become your friends for life.

"I'm friends with everyone. I love my jungle buddies, I love my jungle fam. But there are going to be friendships that people have that really, really get nurtured and become something that is, ‘wow this is a friend for life’."
